Nocnocan, Philippines
To reach remote places in the Philippines we bought the MV Sabrina and traveled to the north of Bohol. On the island of Nocnocan, 3000 people live on 3 hectars. Their main income is the famous Valentia-Cowry (Leporicypraea valentia) which is collected by compressor (hookah) divers along the outer drop-off at 50-60 m. We discovered several new species in the lagoon, including an Ovulidae that subsequently was named after Felix (Dentiovula lorenzi).
